Hi,
My 17 month old golden retriever, i have noticed has a loss of pigment on the inside side of the socket of the eye on the right eye, it is small and round, i was wondering whether it is where my other dog has beed fighting with her? they have been fighting a lot more recently and i am sure that it is because my other dog is probably around the time for her first season, about 9 months, this is the time when my first bitch came into season, could it be where they have been fighting or is it something worse? I have also noticed that her nose is becoming pinkier, is this common for golden retrievers?

Hello, This may be of no use at all, but occassionaly some horses get this problem, Normally dark skin goes pink around the eyes and muzzle. We were once told to give them a seaweed supplement in their feed and it works! The blotches slowly reduce in size and eventually dissappear. As for dogs I have no idea but it could be worth mentioning it to your vet to see if their could be some common ground??
Emma (apologies if your vet thinks you are mad though!!) :D
