I noticed a few days ago blood in my bitches stools. I thought I would keep an eye on her.

She is 2 years old fit healthy and eating and drinking fine.

She does have a bad habit of stealing pegs could she have digested some plastic and that causing a problem?

Just wondered if anyone else on here had experienced anything like this before?

like I say she is well and not causing me concern, but I dont like the thought of her passing blood. I am going to ring my vet for a check up in the morning but thought I would ask for advice on here first.

Is it just smears on the outside of the stool, is it lumps in the stool, is it red or a dark tar sort of colour?

Hi Its smears withing the stools but it doesnt look fresh blood.

Then I do think you should see the vet and take a sample with you.
