Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / which is the cocker spaniel's best weigh
- By guest [mx] Date 03.01.03 15:33 UTC
I have a 3 month old black cocker spaniel but she is growing very fast, plus, she's eating like three times a day. I was informed that eating too much and with so much weigh on them, they can't grow well. I'd like to know then, which is their adequate weigh and how many times a day should she eat.
Please, notify me at: looc_gulp@hotmail.com
Thankyou!

It is impossible to give a wieght, as puppies grow at diddferent rates. she should have a waist, and you should be able to feel the ribs easily, but not so that you can see them.

three times a day is correct at ther age, and she will be eating almost half as much again as an adult cocker. They will reach the peak of their food intake at around five months, and then eat slightly less, until they are eating adult quantitites at a year. reducet to two meals at 6 months, and continue with this, or move to one meal at around a year.
