Does anyone know of a vet that does hip scoring under sedation in Cornwall or the South West?

You're better off travelling up country TBH!

Can't agree with that I'm afraid my vet at Yeovil does mine under sedation for me.
I have heard that Verity is excellent as well.

That wasnt referring to the vet mentioned....that was to Gema saying she is better off traveling further up than having hips done in cornwall! Sorry for any confusion.

Agree with Carol - anything the otherside of the Tamar bridge is 'up country'to us Cornish folks.My ex local vet was so rubbish that the BVA couldn't even read the x rays and poor Dems had to be re Xrayed much to my anger.

Have used this practice in the past with good results.

I paid £125.25 total for X-rays BVA charge under GA with Arrowfield Veterinary Group, Kington Hereford in January last year.  Even with a 50 mile each way drive and fuel worked out much cheaper than locally, and with an experienced Ortho vet.

Locally I paid £170 in 2005! with a vet who rarely did them.  I had been finding my results though acceptable seemed to be a few points higher than litter-mates done by more experienced with hip x-raying vets, so decided to try someone more experienced, and have found the scores that bit better.
