Hi!My 5 months old collie just had a letter from the vets saying shes due a worming treatment. She was last wormed with milbemax(spelling may be wrong)which I have since learned is not suitable for collie breeds.Could anyone tell me why, please? Also, which wormer would you reccomend?I just checked out the reviews for drontal, which were good, but not sure if this is suitable for a pup? Thanks in advance!
aah, similar post in "general",thanks for the info, brainless!
i take it that drontal is ok for a 5 month old?

Drontal puppy yes, I think the multi-wormer is from 6 months but not sure, just the way I have done it. Mine get a Multi-wormer once a year in Summer and Panacur at other times.
I use Hyperdrugs own Easimax Plus that has the same active ingredients and strengths as Drontal, but cheaper.
ok,thankyou-ive just realised she will be 6months on the 23rd!time flies!

If you have already used milbemax with her and she had no bad reaction, then you will be fine using this again.

I wouldn't count on it often in cases of allergies or sensitivities the first time it is encountered just primes the immune response and the bad reaction occurs next time, just not worth the risk.
