Has anyone had a message asking to update to Internet Explorer 9?  And if so, did you update?

If you did - are there any problems with it?  I would rather wait until the glitches have been ironed out if it's not spot on.

I am on IE9 and no problems so far.. at least no more than usual :-)

Thanks so much.  It keeps asking me to download, will say yes next time then!  I took automatic update off when it always slowed me down when I was looking something up, and so I prefer to choose when it happens.

lol.. I got fed up of cancelling the auto updates because of the automatic restarts, I finally gave in and just let it all happen.. so far everything has been fine :-)

Well, all seemed to download ok.  My email did take ages to open for the first couple of times online, just said not responding, although that now appears to have resolved itself.

I was totally thrown when someone on CD posted a link that I went to save to favourites, for future reference.  My normal place to save a fav had disappeared.  Shows how old I'm getting - you only have to move something to the opposite side of the screen to confuse me!  :-)

Apart from that, I think I'm glad that I did upgrade now, as I have been really, really bad, and never moved up to IE8 when I changed to Vista.

Anyway, thanks for responding to my plea.  I would not have had the nerve to go ahead if I hadn't found somone had already done the deed.  :-)

snap :-)  that threw me a bit too.. old dogs and new tricks.. it just ain't true lol.. I miss my old favourites header bar, but thats about the only niggle I have.. you simply get used to everything else.. I have been using it for a few months now, and like it :-)

I think I am still on IE7, so how can I get the upgrade,a dn what happens to the favourites?

I eventually lost the original reminder, so googled windows updates.  Just went to download when I found the one I wanted.  I went straight from IE7 to IE9 with no problems.

Except the senility test of course.  Where i was used to seeing Favourites indicated very clearly on the top left of my screen, it had now migrated over to the top right, and it is a little star.

Jean, you are an angel.. and I have failed the senility test miserably.. I have been searching for that star to get my favourites bar back.. and there it is.. on the 'other' left :-) :-)
