The trembling will be pain.  Don't worry about her not going in the box, you don't want to distress her.

I do tend to let my girls give birth where they want (within reason obviously, not under the apple tree in the garden at midnight!)  :-)

Once whelped, you will find that, if you carry her pups to the whelping box, she will be only too pleased to follow you.

Sorry things are going so badly

Are the deaths due to Mum being rough or was there something wrong with them?

I have Dopram drops and Vet drops on hand to revive pups

I hope things. go better

How many are you expecting?

So relieved that you didn't go to bed!!!

It's never easy losing pups, but I am so glad that your girl is alright, and does have some babies to suckle.

Just a thought, you said the firstborn only lived an hour.  Did you empty any fluid out of the lungs?
- By jloubs [gb] Date 15.05.11 11:01 UTC
hi it was doing ok bresthing moving around until mum picked him up and held him in her mouth running all over the kitchen dinning room then she bite him and he died. l tried to get her to settle with him but to no avail . the 2nd pup had a very strange looking tummy almost like it was flat so she only lived a short time  but other 4 doing ok mum feeding non stop and going for wees

Good!  I bet you are now looking like a zombie.  :-)  Your girl has obviously settled well.  You're allowed to heave a sigh of relief!

But I bet you won't sleep for quite a while.  If you're anything like me, you will be running on adrenaline.  :-)

Glad to hear she has settled down to being a good Mum
