Unfortunately both my two seem to have a bout of the runny bums. I'm going to give them chicken and rice tonight but the only chicken I have in is the frozen blocks of PrizeChoice. Would this be ok if I microwave it to cook it lighly, I would normally boil chicken breast but I'm all out. It is just minced chicken but does have minced bone in it.

Cooked white fish and potato is my favoured option for upset tummies.

Best to give nothing except water for 24 hours then something light such as fish & rice.
I'm with pedlee, cooked plain white fish and mashed potato ( just smash poato to bits, skins and all and don't add anything like we would to our mash!) little and often.
Some dogs have problems with chicken and also some with rice.
Hope they are better soon

Unfortunately I don't have any plain fish in either, I have given them both a small amount of the Prizechoice chicken with a larger amount of well cooked rice which went down in the blink of an eye!! Both are Labs so have probably scavanged something horrid - I'm sure they will be ok tomorrow, just hungry!!

Readybrek made up with water instead of milk can also be used for an upset tummy.

I fast, give electrolytes and then a banana smoothie made with live yoghurt and slippery elm food! Of course if your dog is lactose or casein intolerant you should ignore this!

I no longer give chicken and rice for an upset stomach, the only two times I tried it, made things even worse,

No food for 24 hours but must have water, then light food like chicken/fish & rice.

poridge is also good, made with nothing but water.
I make chicken soup for mine. I shred the chicken and grate the vegetables and add chicken bones too.
I boil the rice separately with lots of extra water and when the rice is cooked, I add some of that water to the soup.
I put abpout a tablespoon or two of rice into the bowl and add the soup.
Mine absolutely love that - it stops the runs almost immediately
