i have been out on my morning walk and stopped to talk to a man while his dogs played with mine. He asked me if i was aware that a group of people had started walking her staffy x american p/b in the area and did i know it was a very nasty dog. He went on to say that last weekend he had been walking and bumped into the lad with the dog and though it was on a lead it was not muzzled. As his dogs passed the staffy x lunged and grabbed one of his dogs. The poor old man had put his hands in the way to separate them and has ended up with a nasty bite and stitches. He reported it to the police and was told that because he had no proof that it was the other dog at fault or that it wasn't a bite off his own dog, nothing would be done.

I am really worried about walking my dogs there now until this dog is either muzzled or taken off these people. If the police aren't interested then who should i contact?

We had a problem with a dog near us and the police told us to contact the dog warden.
