Hi All

There is an open show for the above society, held in Weymouth, Dorset on the 24th July, entries close on the 13th June, if you would like a schedule then please contact Lynne Scott on 01258 454613

There are quite a lot of breed classes so if anyone would like me to check if your breed is on then please post below and I'll let you know before you ring for a schedule

Thank You

I will certainly put it to the comittee at our next meeting in a months time, do you think there would be many entries and would it being indoors put you off (it's in 2 massive sports hall)
thanks

Wouldn't put me off...but the judge may...You get a better entry if you don't have one judge doing all the working breeds and knowing 'nout about most of 'em! Lots of new upcoming judges on the C lists and they work for nothing!...well thier supper maybe LOL
I have always though the drop off in entries was more to do with judges. The times I have been to open shows with 3 scheduled classes only to be told by the judge.."Never judges these before".. Please give us poor show'ers a bit of value for our hard earned pennies!

I know exactly what you mean, I have saints and tbh it's put me off showing at open shows, I'm not sure whether it's geography that we seem to have judges that no absolute zip on the breeds they're judging, I even had a judge ask me if my dogs bite was correct, scared to put her hands on him then gave him group 2 ( meant absolutely nothing IMO) sibe judge and no sibes entered under her tells you a lot eh

I will bring it up at next meeting, only new on the comittee so will be more involved with preparation for the next one :0)

Almost as good as an all rounder judging my sibe to G2 then saying afterwards they thought my dogs eyes were the wrong colour otherwise she would have been G1! Dont they read the breed standard anymore?!?!
