I picked up my local paper and inside was a 5 month old cocker spaniel bitch needing a new home as current owner couldn't cope with two dogs (she was bought as present for her) she is called Jessie and she is black and tan, she just claimed me instantly and I loved her on sight, she is KC reg and I have docs to send of, however I do not have a list of her pedigree, is this possible to obtain a copy?...I am in love with her even though she went wee wee as soon as she was through front door :D
I cant believe she was there today in the paper and we now have her at home, it pays to be prepared with the basket etc... :D

Excellent news Lynsey
I think if you know her Sire and Dam and when she was born the Kennel Club might be able to give you further details, failing that I'm sure if you e-mail either JaneS or me privately we might be able to track down further details for you.
It was obviously meant to be and I'm really pleased for you.
Give her a big hug from me .......

yes it was meant to be :D and I couldnt have wished for a better start to a new year, the previous owner :D is gonna keep in touch and we will send her cards and pictures.
yes I do have the mum and dads name I also have to change her microchip to my name, and her KC docs, and find an insurance she is currently insured and the lady said she will keep her insured for two weeks to allow me time to get another one, I wanted to get one for my other dog aswell at same time, she is 8 is this still possible??..I never bothered before and just put money away each month for her just in case, she's never needed it :D
she loves the kids and poppy my yorkie just looks on in disgust at the moment although they have had some sniffing at each other..I will keep you all informed, she has christened the garden and marked the living room carpet..:D and she has left her mark in our hearts aswell :D :D :D glad I read the paper today :D

Congratulations Lyndsey :-)
Hope you are having lots of fun with your new baby. She's a little younger than Morgan (golden boy) as he's just hitting the teenage years and everything he has learned for the past 7 months has gone out the window (tantrums galore! :-)).
You must be very excited - there's nothing like getting up in the morning and realising that you've really been missed. Have fun!
Wishing you all the best
Shirley

You can order a pedigree, either 3 or 5 generation from the kennel Club when you do the Transfer of ownership with the KC reg.

Brilliant!! One day (when I have fewer dogs!) I want a b/t cocker bitch!
You lucky thing! Re her pedigree, if the KC documents you have to send off are her registration doc with her registered name and number, to transfer her ownership to you, you will be able to get a copy pedigree from the KC. They only need to know her registered name and number.
Good luck!

Lynsey, Congrats!!!! see you needed that spaniel bowl sooner than you thought!!! on the reg. papers that you send off to the KC there is an option (you pay a higher fee) to have the kennel club pedigree, its a printed one on Kennel Club paper, so you should have no bother obtaining one. I am so pleased for you, the kids must be over the moon, Julie:)

Is she actually producing now? I might not be able to sleep for wondering how she's doing. Good luck:)
LynnT
nope still no sign of the little things - she's due monday - but was hoping for a bit early cos i go back to work on tuesday - don't worry - they won't be on their own - my ex works nights - he's doing the 2 hour shift while i'm at work, i'm in a bit of a panic - ordered a whelping kit way before xmas - had all the bits and pieces needed - still don't have it - which reminds me - must email them now and get number to ring em in morning. Luckily i have most of the stuff - but it included emergency bottles etc.

So you have a few nights left to catch up on your sleep then! I'll be looking out for the blow by blow account after the weekend then;) Hope everything goes well, and your kit arrives in time.
