do i have to worm my girl she is 42 days pregnant. if so when and what shall i use. Im not experienced but she has had all health tests done and she is clear. i need advice. and when do i worm the puppies. im waiting for the book of the bitch in the post. ive just been reading up and found this website and found it has some very helpfull people on here. so i would appreciate any help and experiences. im really worried about the whelping and care of the puppies so i would love some advice. thankyou

the product that is accepted as efficacious re transference of worms to the unborn puppies is Panacur.

Many of us have used this for generations of pregnant bitches with no issues, others blame the wormer for issues they have had.

The choice is yours as they say.

The dose of the Panacur 10% suspension is 0.25ml per kg bodyweight, so a 20kg bitch would have 5ml per day, should be started from day 40 until two days after the puppies are born.

Many bitches won't go near the whelping box until labour, but she should know where it is and putting it up about 10 days before due date as they can whelp as much as a week early.

You will need to sleep within earshot from then
