Thank you she is ( or will be ) an 8week old flat coat pup. Your quite right though she will grow quite quickly so may be a cheap one to begin with. I just need to be buying something :) cant wait to have her you see !
Just had alook at those they are nice

Lucky you :)! Enjoy your new little one, and for now just buy something that's kind to her neck, doesn't put strain on her frame and won't get ruined if it gets wet :( or at worst can be replaced cheaply :) :) :)
The ones in the link are beautiful, but wait till she's older for serious bling

I use Lupine collars and harnesses, guaranteed for a life time and replaced free of charge if damaged, no questions asked, one of my girls chewed through the harness of the other one whilst crated on a trip away from home, replaced quickly but the original pattern was no longer available so they no longer have matching harnesses.
For show I have half check collar and lead combo.
Those leather collars are lovely but the price is too much for me.

Do you think a flat fabric collar just for walks would be best to start with. I hope to show her I dont want to do any damage either to her physically ( wouldnt want that whatever ) or to her fur. I also for the first time wont have a collar on her indoors as i have always done with my dogs so only need one for walks and training
hehe,you cant wait,can you,chris!

Aww thank you sue and pam is it showing how excited I am. Def socialisation is the key :) I am hoping you find a nice place to live even nearer to me. Somewhere around ardingly would be good
Ive got to do something while I wait as I dont need a nursery for this baby I am reorganising the garden and dog patc, have very helpful son laying paving and digging lol
wont be long, now!having just had gwen,i know exactly how you feel!Excited for you!canI borrow your son!

I know just how you feel, before we got our first 2 I had to buy something for them at least once a week, we needed to prepare of course but also it was such fun buying puppy stuff. And even though I'm on my 4th puppy (hoping for the 5th soon) I am still having to stop myself buying a new puppy toy every single time I go in the pet shop! The house is covered with toys already!!

I'll send him up Pam ! I am amazed by him over the last year he has really been brilliant. Today he rescued me from having no bath due to leak and blockage solved it all and got the plumbing back together so we now have a bath again that doesnt leak and drains out as well. Next project is to repair the kitchen ceiling from the leak. Not bad for a 21 year old who hasnt been taught just works it out , Dad is not the practical type
I am counting the days now trouble is I dont know which day yet lol
Good grief he sounds wonderful!my 2 lads-a lot older-never offer help, they HAVE been useful to their old mum now and again mind, but its a case of asking if you want help, and I never like to!Your lad sounds like a little diamond-some girl is going to be very lucky!

Oh she is , mind he could do with some domestic traing haven't got that sorted

Hey, if he can do all the DIY without the ear-rending moaning I get from a 23 year old who is completely un-housebroken and has no idea about DIY--let it go! Wish I'd trained mine a bit better at the time but as I keep saying, karma will get him a partner who will force him to do the washing up, etc :)

Oh yes karma I like that lol
Thats so trueJAY15!Once,in a rage with my daughter, aged 13-she was a bit of a nightmare!,-I cursed her with"I hope your first daughter is as stubborn as you are!"She laughs about it now because shes often tearing her hair out over her daughter Libby, whos nearly 9 now, blames me for the curse!

I bet most of us have been there, colliepam...every time I was ready go nuts with my son for his insane risk-taking behaviour (lethal levels of alcohol often being a contributory factor) I made myself think about what I had done to my parents at his age, and I was very ashamed of myself and a little more patient with him.
good point-i was no angel!
