This is very good news. PetLog is planning a new system where the breeders' details will be kept on record even if the animal is registered to somebody else, so that the breeder can be contacted should the animal ever be found in rescue or similar.

Now that makes Microchipping a far more attractive prospect to me :-D
The idea that they wouldn't keep my details has always put me off ;)
So is this an all chip offer or only premium?

The way
I read it, for all breeders.

Oooo good because I have had so many problems with petlog premium I would hate to have to go through it all for the pups too.

i keep my info on all pups info.....when i get the litters chip regs back I just fill in the new owners info on the home details and mine on the work details....that way at least one of us will get a call if s hound goes missing and gets found again.

PetLog's website has been saying this for a while now and still has no date for when they are going to implement it...

When I get mine chipped I put my contact details down as one of the emergency numbers

I spoke to PetLog about this at Crufts. They will put breeders down against all their pups chipped now, but you have to request it to be done, it's not standard as yet. They did say that they were planning that by next year, the breeder would be recorded against the chip without having to request it.
