hi my bitch is 50 days today and although quite big but not enoumous and was scanned for 4 pups i havent seen or felt any movement she is med size is this normal? or should i see or feel something?

Don't panic - I know lots of folk that have said they haven't felt movement until the last week.

If she isn't ill in herself, try not to get carried away with the "what ifs"   :-)

try not to but its her first litter and she missed a few matings so probably i am over anxious

I am sure that all is well.  You would know your own girl well enough to realise if something wasn't quite "right."

They do it to keep us on our toes, and to turn our hair grey.

Hi welshie, are you worried because this is the girl with Kennel Cough? If so, try not to worry 'cos the very earliest that l felt movement with my bitches, was at 49 days, and that was very, very faint. I don't know if you have a coated breed or not, but mine were short coated - Boxers -, so l suppose it would have been easier to feel movement with them, than a coated breed.

thankyou yes she is a spaniel so plenty of coat and scanned for 4 so they should have plenty of room

My cockers first litters were always felt around days 52 onwards and then just very light fluttery movements that you really have to wait for.  I am sure she will be fine.  Good luck.

Hi welshie,

As AnnieM says, it'a just a light, fluttery movement - like a moth/butterfly. I would not be able to actually SEE movement until much later on, probably not until 7 weeks +.

and then with mine I rarely see any movement at all.
