Leaks no more is something that is meant to help incontinance in bitches.

Yes, I did think that is what its for but did wonder who makes it? Is it over the counter or vet prescribed?

It's homeopathic, so over the counter. And from what I've just read, more expensive than licenced vet medicines!

just googled it. It is about £10-00 for 2-3 weeks supply. that is not bad if it works. thanks for help.

The tablets my bitch was on cost £15 for 2 months, which is why I think this other product is expensive!

Particularly if it is mostly chalk or water.
My bitch is on Incurin and I am being charged £20 per 28 day pack. Your post made me google and I've found it online for £10! Half the price! I am thinking of going down the route of asking for prescriptions. I don't mind paying slightly more for convenience but double!! I also have a dog on Vivitonin and one on Phenobarbitone so am thinking I would make the same savings here also!
Sorry for going off topic! Homeopathy.....wouldn't waste my money no matter how low the price.
Homeopathy.....wouldn't waste my money no matter how low the price. A few years ago I would have agreed with your view however 2 years ago one of my labs got ill and nothing worked...UNTIL I had no where else to go but homeopathic and this I did as without something she would have died anyhow. 2 years on we now manage her condition with homeopathic and herbal remedies and she is still enjoying life.
I think until the day u have no where else to turn when vet meds have failed u should never say never. I have been amazed to see the turn around in Brooke and I now firmly believe that homeopathy has its place alongside conventional medicine. Even my vets have admitted they have never seen a dog survive what Brooke has been through and twice last year she defied the odds and survived. And the bill for all this is well worth every penny
>we now manage her condition with homeopathic and herbal remedies
Remember that herbal remedies aren't the same as homeopathic remedies. Herbal remedies are in effect a cruder form of conventional medicine because they contain the physical chemicals from the plants involved; totally unlike homeopathic remedies which stress that they do
not.

we have only added the herbal elements of thyme and liquorice in the last 2 weeks. Everything else is homeopathic
Really pleased it's worked for your dog :)
Perhaps you're right and it's somewhere I would turn in desperation. However, there is no study which shows homeopathy to be effective. It really has been blasted out of the water scientifically.
Homeopathy seems to base it claims on "anecdotal" evidence and, whilst I am pleased for those owners, I think it foolhardy to suggest it is as effective or a subsitute for proven medication.
I do, however, use herbal remedies where there is a solid evidence base for efficacy :)
I think it foolhardy to suggest it is as effective or a subsitute for proven medication. My dog is actually allergic to most normal vet meds and that is why we had such a problem. Like u say if you are desparate you will try anything and it worked for us thank god. We have added the herbal in in the last 2 weeks and it is again helping and we discovered the benefits of it when the rehab clinic brooke attends had a different vet on due to holidays and she does herbal stuff. We have had a problem adding it in and are about 2 weeks behind the forecast and I really think we will never get up to the recommended dose as her stomach seems to not tolerate it well above 1ml twice a day. It is however helping to expel flem from her lungs so we will keep trying.
We use many homeopathic remedies and vitamins and also acupunture and physio 3 times a day so together it works and I find if we drop one we go backwards. So as a whole unit it works well for Brooke. All this treatment is overseen by 3 different normal vets as well and I would never not get everyones opinion or drop conventional meds where they work
It's funny you mention Acupuncture because I have a physical problem myself which conventional medication is struggling to manage. I was reading Cochrane reviews which I turn to now and again and up came acupuncture as showing positive results :) Am definitely going to give it a go.
Long may Brookes recovery continue :)

Long may Brookes recovery continue .The acupunture is brilliant although the first session was awful she hated it and I had to be hard and make her do it. Cruel to be kind and all that. Luckily she now accepts the needles and she knows the rehab clinic means a Mc Flurry on the way home cos mummy feels guilty lol. She gets acupunture every 2 weeks and the last day before we go again you can hear her chest rattling or she starts coughing badly BUT she gets her acupunture and within hours she is fresh and running around again. I can't afford it myself because of having to pay Brooke's medical bills but if I ever can I will definately be trying it out. Good luck if you give it a go.

Mountaindreams, I agree when you have nowhere to turn you will try anything. In the past I was so desperate with a very poorly gsd that when the acupuncture stopped working ( this had been great for 6 months ) I even went several times to an animal healer and again the results were amazing. He did not touch her just hovered his hands about 3 foot away and you could see her fur moving as if an electrical current was passing over her. Others may scoff, but I know what I saw. Again I had another year of her wonderful company by doing this once a month at £25 a time, and worth every penny.

This reminds me of a lecture I attended some weeks back where one of the speakers mentioned undershot jaws.
She said that feeding from a certain shaped bowl would correct this and some people in the audience jumped on this pearl of wisdom.
BUT unless you could have a clone of the animal and treat one with the 'cure' - at the same time doing nothing with the other clone...it is impossible to prove whether the cure worked or the animal would have improved any way.
Many conditions have peaks and troughs, flare ups and more stable days...these occur naturally.
