Puppy managed to chew both zips on our medium fabric crates while on holiday (my fault, I was trying to push two together to give them a bit more space than a single and forgot she is a zip destroyer!). We have always been very happy with the ones from Doghealth.co.uk, but when I looked on their website I could only find the XL ones, and when I emailed them the email has come back as being delayed, so I wonder if they are still around. Has anyone got a recommendation for a fabric crate? Hubby can't stand the metal ones for car travel because he hates the rattling noise. I'm looking for 23" x 31" x 24" high or thereabouts - no wider or it won't fit into the Galaxy, and possibly a fraction smaller in case we get a different car next time. Our dogs are generally good in crates as long as they're zipped up, haha, though we did get some damage to the front when one dog was eating in his crate and the other was trying to dig her way in to steal the food....

I have one of these for a toy breed-have had for 4 years-still like new.

Mind you my dog does not try to escape-I leave top open and he sits in and looks out of the top-all under supervison of course as I do not want him to climb out.

I dareday some would try to escape

Ooh thanks, those do look quite nice. I do prefer the ones like the one in your link and the one puppy ate, that become their own case rather than have a case to put them in. :-)

I've got Croft fabric crates - the steel framed and the Twister (latter no good for boisterous pups!) and been very pleased with them. However, having seen the link posted by satincollie I think I will buy one of these as I'm looking for a 36" and these are quite a lot cheaper than Croft.

My Trude gets out of them in about 30 seconds.

I have an XL Maelson which I really rate--sturdy, very nicely finished and even the zip eater hasn't got to it yet. It has a neat little catch as well that stops zip happy dogs from letting themselves out :)

Well we've ordered them so I'll let you know how they go. :-)
