Has anyone set up a dog walking/sitting business?.

I have been looking at insurance-there is a public liabilty insurance-but I would need more than that I would have thought-does anyone know of an insurance company that I could talk to about this .

Thanks

Pet Business Insurance or Clivertons were always recommended to me when I set up as a behaviourist.  The sitter/walker i know has insurance from a 'normal' company but personally I'd prefer a potential walker of my dogs to have proper pet-type insurance.

NFU would be one of the companies I would make enquiries to - they deal with all sorts of livestock insurance and insure animals used in all sorts of events so hopefully they will be able to help you.

Im insured with Cliverton, the insurance is tailor made to suit exactly what your business does (eg. I do grooming and walking) im also covered as a pet taxi which covers the dogs in my car.

Cliverton also cover loss of keys ........ very important !!

My husband uses Clivertons as well. I always think it's best to use a specialist company.
