Hi Everyone, I am new to this site and really find the advice very helpful. I bred my Chihuahua on March 21 and March 23, when should I take her for A scan? This is her first litter and very excited to know if the mating was successful.

I took my girl 30 days from her last mating, they said she was 33 days gone with 4 in there...

My vet likes them about 4 weeks from mating and they can usually see the pups (if there are pups).  Last time vet saw at least 4, possibly more and she actually whelped 8 (2 were sadly stillborn) but 6 a good litter (small dog) so very pleased

We have scanned at 24 days (the guys who owned the stud in Germany needed to know asap) usually we leave it until at least 30 days.

I had her to the vet today for an ultrasound and he said he can clearly see 4 and there may be one more, I am so excited :0)

HUGE litter for the breed!!!  

yes but a Chiuahua of my friends had 7 onces and successfully raised all of them.
