I know this was covered a while ago when my lab got it. Yesterday we walked through the very wet fields,and the streams are more like rivers, so of course the dogs loved it and spent ages splashing around and swimming wherever they could. We always dry them well, and they were back in the warm kitchen all day. By last night Honey's tail was hanging limply, she looks so sorry for herself. A lab without a waggy tail just doesn't look right :) Still very limp today, and she doesn't like sitting down. She also didn't like pooing as she couldn't hold her tail up. As this is the 2nd time she's had it, have others dogs had this and do they keep getting it. She did loads of swimming in the summer with no problems.

Hi Dudley, happened to one of my labs a few yrs ago when she decided to have a swim in the Nov. It cleared up after about 5/6 days so try not to worry but maybe give vet a ring! I must say tho that some of my dogs have a swim all year round & it`s only ever happened that once. And isn`t it the saddest thing to see a lab with tail hanging down?
