I have had the weirdest email today.  Really peculiar, given that I have no adverts anywhere, and haven't had a litter since last June, and have no immediate plans for the foreseeable future.  I would be interested in what you folks make of it!  I am fully aware of the current scams, but they are not usually worded like this.  But,,,,  I don't have anything available, so it has got to be a wind up.

Hello,
I am enquiring about your xxxxxxxxx puppies as I found your website stating that you are a xxxxxxxxx breeder. I will need to know a few things about you and them first.

1. Where are you situated at the moment so that I can see the puppies?
2.When could I see the puppies?
3. How much would it cost?
                   &
4. How would I pay you?

Please let me know asap.

Prehaps they were looking at a few breeders and emailed you by mistake instead of a breeder who had a litter. Or prehaps they are a scammer who can type.

I think they have probably got your email from a list of breeders somewhere, and I think that if you were to reply you'd find that what they really want from you are bank details/card details or something along those lines - ie - it is a scam...

Cheers rabid.  I thought I had seen them all!  Obviously not.  :-)

Anyway, I deleted it once I had copied it for here.  Such odd wording, but, yes, can see why you say about the payment.  I guess, if they're sending these out in great quantities, there is always the chance that they will actually catch someone with pups.

And I have to go out to work to get my money!  Durrr!  :-)

A few months back I had an e mail from a spanish sounding name living in Scotland who wanted one of my 'puppies' (i have none) as a companion for her dog as she was really interested in my breed, did research etc,I then had another e mail from the same person worded exactly the same for my other breed. However so did a few of my other friends!!!!I tend to get at least 1 a month and deleate them straight away.

I think people think that if you are on a breeders list somewhere, then you must have puppies available.  And this is the month for it!!  I have also had a couple of calls this month from my details on champdogs even though I have nothing available.  One person knew I had no puppies but called me because I was local to them and might have known other breeders with pups nearby.  Clever really, and I did!

Cornishmals..
I had an email from from a spanish sounding couple a few months ago from Scotland wanting one of my puppies...I didnt have any either...I did reply and told them so. They also said that they had done lots of reasearch and really wanted one of my pups. Never heard from them after that.

I only had the 2 emails from them, wanted the puppy to be friends with their little boy.But as I said earlier a few of my Mally friends had the same e mail.
