How much does your vet charge for prescriptions? my mum has just paid £15, any recommendations for reliable online pet pharmacies? Has anyone used Animeddirect.co.uk? Thanks

Just checked and mine charge £5.64 may be a bit more now as last update was pre vat increase!  Last time I got 1 was about 2 years ago it was only £2.50 but still not bad compared to some.
Don't know if its changed but mine would also do it as a repeat for up to 6 months depending on what it was for. I gather some will only do for 1 lot of meds so you pay again every month .
I usually use Vetmedic, had no problems with delivery etc.

Bit of a difference there then! its still cheaper to get script & order online though, this is for a month with 3 repeats, so maybe thats why its nearly x3! Will try vetmedic I order my wormers there.
Thanks

This is for the same charge as for 1 month.

I paid 2 years ago £35 for one and I was not impressed. I was told by canine chemist at that time most of their customers paid about £10

Went up vets t-time as Zuma has had a funny tummy off and on for few weeks - done all the usual, starve 24hr, pasta and fish, prokolin etc - got him onto chappie at the mo but wanted to check if it could be something else developing. answer - almost definatly just a low grade bug.
AANYWAY total bill for consult + 18 duphatrim tabs + prescription for advocate wormer .........was a horrendous £35.15 :-D :-D

I have used vet medic and vets on line both very good but one charges postage under a certain amount.

WOW!!!   My vet would have charged WAY over that!  I would have thought that £35 was nothing!

My vet charges £8.50 and I always ask for multiple repeats (usually 3) to be put on. I use petdrugsonline as their service is quick and they don't charge postage unless you want first class but I always get the stuff within 48 hours anyway. My friend pays £15, no repeats, to one of these conglomerate type vets.
