Hi,
I am just popping on quickly to ask if anyone can tell me apart from Dr Ian Billinghurst has anyone else endorsed raw feeding?
I know you lot are rather good at research.
Thank you in advance.
Tom Lonsdale - I am reading his book at the moment.

Agree with Tom Lonsdale. Really easy to get your head round and classes dogs as carnivores, unlike Billinghurst.

Of the books I've read I much prefer Lonsdale :-)

Dr Pitcairn advocates raw feeding, he wrote about it quite a few years ago, also Richard Allport and Manda Scott ( both published vets ).

My preferred read is Kymythy Schultze, Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats - The Ultimate Diet.
It's easy to read and even contains a sample monthly diet sheet, which may prove helpful.

Try the BritBarf yahoo group. It's run by a vet, and there are one or two raw-feeding vets on there (Manda Scott is one). I believe the Holistic Vet, Nick Thompson, also advocates raw feeding.

Just to say Pedlee and MsT have given the two I would
highly recommend.
(Kymthy's book is great because it's very reader friendly and easy to read)
Thankyou to everyone.
The reason i was asking is i had an issue with a new and very judgmental vet who implied i wasnt doing the best with regards to feeding my dogs.
I needed to draft a letter of complaint with names that were qaulified and acknowledged the benefits of BARF

The dogs dinner by ann ridyard very informative and down to earth
