Such a terrible shame she was living like this. I have never been sure of zoo/animal actavists.......but this time its worked out briliantly. So pleased she is happy and yes she looks it to me her eyes look brighter, I agree.
It has always made me wonder why people wish to inflict torment/torture on animals.....never understood it and never want to.
However it also makes me think if they treat animals this way how on earth do they treat the people in their "care" I stongly believe the step from
animal abuse is linked to human/child abuse. I think (and I don't think of it often but this case has confirmed it in my mind) that if you are found guilty of animal abuse....then you should be "checked" out by social services with regard to your human links too.
It certainly has been shown that serial killers, murderers, violent offenders, thugs and physical abusers often started off by being cruel to animals, anyone showing cruelty to animals would certainly be under my radar.
Anne is a very, very, lucky elephant, the abuse may well have escalated.
