Does anyone know how long the KC takes to put hip scores up on their website? They've had my dog's results from the BVA for 12 days but nothing has gone up as yet.

It varies - some results are up before owners have been informed...  just keep checking.

The PRA test results are only put on every 3 months rather than as they receive them from AHT.

Just to say that we have a DNA/PRA test for our breed which is done via Optigen and the results are not automatically put on to the KC Website. In fact when we met Jeff Sampson at a seminar we handed them to him and they were put on the site the next day.!

So there is PRA testing going on that isn't automatically put on the KC database? Is it only certain breeds which can use Optigen?

I had to sign to say I agreed to the results being made public or they wouldn't do the test.

Well have to say in my breed there is a bit of controversy as some people are using the Labokin DND swabs. Whereas myself and others prefer the blood test taken at an Optigen clinic. No chance of "wrong" dog info .....!!!!.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for optigen results to get onto the kennel club database? I did the test got the results back 2 months ago as did the kennel club and still nothing even though its recommended for our breed.

See my previous reply.!
We were told that Optigen results are NOT automatically put on the KC database, so suggest you contact them.

Optigen and others in my breed that have done the test had their results put up without contacting the KC. I rang them and they said it looks like Optigen's KC copy has been lost. So I have to photocopy/scan it for them. Thanks :)

We've never had to send our Optigen results in, apparently they now send the results direct to the KC at the same time as the certificates are sent to us.  I know with Antagene, we do have to send those in.

When Optigen were first doing the tests you had to send your own results in.

Can you tell me how wrong dog info can be on either of the companies as it's all of the trust of what's written on the forms and vet signing the paperwork?

I have found that the results are up for the individual dog quite quickly in the health test checker, but the list of PRA results is woefully out of date, last results for ours 1st of February, but can find the results of dogs by entering their name in the health checker that have been received since.
