does anyone know where on the net to find the free 5 gen pedigree form, i was sent it some years agao by someone on here just wondered if someone could send it to me again thanks

As far as I'm aware, nobody issues the freebies anymore.  I know I used to see the Sherley's ones back in the 70's.

Probably died out when people realised that they could knock one up themselves on Word.

From experience, it's extremely hard to create a 5-gen pedigree that fits on A4 paper.
So unless your printer can do A3, I doubt you will find one. If you do then you will need to photocopy and fill them in by hand, or take them to a professional printer's; unless you have the software to fill the A3 size in on your computer, and then reproduce it yourself.

I have in the past created 5-gens on computer but that was using Quark Xpress.

I have done one in word, do have to use Arial Narrow and only 10 point font size.

I do them, but have a Mac and use the oldish software "Appleworks" where I can merge Word and Artwork easily.  Do have to use a very small typeface for gen 4 & 5.

I just do them in excel - it's a squeeze but they look good even on A4, you just jiggle about a bit depending on length of some of the names.  I have recently been given a handwritten pedigree - on a form produced by Pedigree which must date back a bit... but if you don't have a computer it must be quite hard to produce these things, last pup I bought I was given a KC pedigree which was nice.

Thank you for this!  I've been looking for a program that is Mac-compatible for AGES! 

I do them in Microsoft Publisher to 5 generations and they come out looking very professional.  I have our affix very faintly in the background and print them on really nice quality parchment type papers and fold them over and laminate them with a proper photo of the puppies on the front.

I do them in MS Word, add in photos where possible but the font size is a bit weeny at Arial 8 :)

I use word spreadsheet, font size 10, it's copperplate gothic for the sire, dam etc & arial for the bit on the top giving dogs name, dob etc.

I print on card of a colour which I like and complements the print colour (which is normally black).
