Hi Taylor,
I have a male DDB and hope to add a female to the gang later in the year.

Oh great, I just love the breed!!!! My friend has a bitch and I just can't keep my fingers off the dog :). I would not buy a pup but I would take in a rescue DDB anytime.

IMO they are great dogs,i love molosser breeds.I had a DDBx who was a rescue, who sadly had to be put down as he had so many problems some of them caused by neglect, the kids took this very hard so we decided to go for a pup instead and touch wood he's in great health.

I would love to have one myself but being involved in rescue, I'd rather take a rescue DDB. I wish you the best of luck with the pup. :) :)

Hi
We have 2 Bordeaux a male and female. They are fantastic dogs and full of personality. Our male is so laid back we sometimes watch him sitting outside looking up at the clouds and watching them move. Is that chilled out or what!!!
They are very happy living as a pair and do EVERYTHING together. They go to bed and get up together at the same time every day - like an old married couple!

The funniest time was when a bitch came ound for Claude (you know what I mean). Well he was taken by the moment and did forget about Ella - typical male. Ella was locked in the kennel but could just see through the window. Well if looks could kill. When the deed was over and Ella rejoined Claude she totally blanked him! Took some serious ear licking from him to get her forgiveness!!! :-)

My Dogue is pretty chilled out as well,he sits at the bottom of the garden watching the world go by, LOL.
He has fitted so well into the family even house training has been a breeze,he has been clean through the night since we bought him home at seven weeks and clean through the day a lot younger than my previous 2 dogs (a Rottie and Staff) and is great with the kids, can be a right clown a times and has us in stitches.I do like to keep my dogs in pairs though, not that he's left alone much, but i think they benefit from canine company as well.

Have to agree there. We also have 4 staffies. Claude gets on fantastic with the 3 bitches but he and the male staff don't exactly see eye to eye. Probably a dominance issue, but they are not kept together anyway so no real problem, they just grumble to each other.
Fine when out for a walk but not when the ladies are around. The things they do to impress the ladies ehh!!!

My Staff loved her creature comforts she used to curl up and sleep on top of our Rottie poor boy she was quite a lump!! not that he had a say in it she was the boss.
we lost the pair of them quite close together her of old age and him to HD,then we took on the rescue and he had to be PTS due to various health problems, this all happened within about 18 months,so i've really enjoyed this trouble free time with our boy.

That is funny, Bogey my rednose curls up on top of Merlin, an ex-Courser. Merlin being a very bony creature doesn't mind at all. But once he tried to use Bogey as a pillow and - oh boy - never again.
