My springer is now 14 months old, and has started mounting my arm when I kneel down to pick up bowls, groom etc. I think she had a season about 3/4 months ago, and haven't seen any signs of another yet (not that I've looked too hard :))

Don't let her do it any more than you would a male - out of season bitches will occasionally do it to dominate/intimidate each other, but I am not quite sure why she would do it to you :)

Check to see whether she is in season as it is not totally out of the question

Otherwise lay back and enjoy being seduced by a bitch

My spayed bitch does this only to me and only when she is feeling esp pleased with life, I just tell her to stop and she does

I am having the same with my 16 week lab Elsa.Only taken a fancy to me and my other dog/bitch.Would anyone think she is showing her dominance towards me and meg.Bit concerned why me.

She did it again tonight, and to my back as well! I thought she was climbing up my back (when I crouched) to chew on the strings on my hood, but when I looked round she was pumping away like a good 'un! When told to stop she looked like a naughty kid caught out, then moved on to my arm again.

Damn women and their hormones. Just as well men don't have these problems.

my Alice mounted the grooming bag at a show I was mortified , and everyone was saying she likes an old bag , but she stopped doing after her first heat .
If she was here now id let her mount the trees .

My old dobe used to do it to her bed. In the summer she would drag it outside and hump away for ages!! Not much help to you, but it brought back loads of great memories. Thanks
