Which meds can you legally buy from internet sites.i have previously purchased wormers etc from my vets.However seems much cheaper via the internet.Are these sites reliable.Advice please.

Yes, lots of owners/breeders buy wormers from reputable sites. They sell exactly the same products as you would buy from your vet. I have. just today, ordered Cestem wormer online for my dogs

Go for a reputable, well established, and well known pharmaceutical company.

I buy all my Panacur 10% for worming pups, at a great saving.

Remember that there will be prescription only medicines that you can buy too.  You don't need a prescription for wormer, and, if it's all you're ordering, hyperdrug don't charge P&P for wormers.  If you want prescription drugs, you just ask your vet for the prescription, telling him that you have found a cheaper source.

Depends on what your vet charges and what drugs you want, best to look for yourself and if you need a POM then the vet has a right to charge you for a prescription although it still works out cheaper and more convenient to purchase from the web - if you are in the UK I would stick to UK based suppliers who give full name and contact details on their site.

I use VetUK, Hyperdrug and Petmeds most commonly but when I need Piriton and Hibiscrub I sometimes use an online 'human' chemist such as Chemist4U.

We've been let down by Hyperdrug recently. It took them more than 2 weeks, 2 phone calls, a letter and several emails to deliver our order.  And it was incomplete. As it happens, I know they had problems getting one particular item (Dopram V), but not to let us know, or deliver the rest was poor service. So I can't recommend them any more.

We'll probably try one of the other recommendations from here next time.

We use Vetmedic, never had any problem with any delivery. Order over phone or online and its there no more that 48hrs later.
There is a vet at the end of the phone to talk to aswell.
