Some pups I've had have been such muck magnets that by that age they've had several baths followed by a session under the blaster! I use puppy or baby shampoo diluted down.

Don't often have to wash the pug pups, baby wipes does it for them, but the Yankee pups have at least 2 baths and blowdries before 8 weeks, htey often get dirty, but even if they have stayed clean and smell nice they still get the full treatment as it is  important for a breed which as major grooming requirements to get used to it early.  I use Johnsons Baby shampoo, does not sting, rinses out easily, leaves them lovely and clean and smelling gorgeous.

Groomers do a lovely Royal Jelly shampoo which is so very gentle for pups... i usually have this in the house for quick clean ups..

Another one here who will use Johnson's baby shampoo on pups. Even my shortcoated Malis can get very dirty if the weather has been right -or should I say wrong!! -so definitely need a bath before being collected by new owners.
