My dogs have kibble for breakfast and raw that usually includes green tripe on an evening.
One of my bitches is 45 days pregnant, and now I am really worried as I read last night that pregnant and lactating bitches should not be fed green tripe because salmonella could be passed on to the puppies and it could be fatal.
Please could anyone put my mind at rest.

I have now reared 3 generations of dogs on a raw diet and have fed mum while pregnant and puppies on green tripe with no problems. If your dog is used to eating it there should not be a problem.
