Look for tiny little black specks of dry dirt, especially on the back and around the ears. That's a dead giveaway. If rubbed with some water this turns red as it is the fleas' droppings which are full of blood.
You could also try a flea comb. They get stuck in the teeth but if you find any, I'd definately get some frontline or something like that because a comb wont be enough to get rid of them.
More importantly get an environmental flea spray (Acclaim, RIP etc) with growth inhibitor, as fleas breed and spend most of their time off the animal hopping on only for a meal,a dn living in your home.
Thanks guys!! I checked for fleas... and turns out he doesn't have any... Also I checked online.. and the medication that he's on for his minor urinary tract infection can cause dry skin.. and minor allergic reaction.. the vet said it was normal! So I got scared for nothing! ^_^
