I have a 5 month old puppy who has scuffed her nose and taken off part of the black pigment leaving pink blotches. As I hope to show her has anyone any experience to whether it will come back black.

Sandra ..what breed is your pup? It sounds like snow nose , where the black is replaced by pink for a while ..if you do a search on SNOW NOSE you should be able to find some info.

Sorry if it is just a scrape and not snow nose :)

Hi Sandra

Is it a Dalmation? If she has scuffed her nose whilst using it to cover something up then it will come back, as it should if you feed her out of plastic bowls and change to metal. Other than that I don't know.

It's a Border Collie, although I have an adult dalmatian. I think it is a scrape, she digs the concrete in her wee area in the garden. Just hoping it will blacken up naturally.
Thanks

Hi it should regain its colour naturally my bitch got caught by an older dog when she was a pup and had a pink line down her nose for a short while but it is now all slate again (she is blue and white) :D Gillian
