Hi. I'm sure this has been asked before but a search did not bring anything up.
I feed my girls on Techni Cal. I feed twice a day and don't soak the kibble.
I've been doing this for about 20 years but have been told i should soak the food.
has anyone out there got any advice for me please?

The idea behind soaking the kibble is so it swells before it enters the stomach and therfore hopefully helps avoid bloat.

I feed soaked kibble with wet food, twice per day :)

When I feed kibble, rarely these days, I do feed it dry although mixed with tinned sardines usually.  My older dogs really do not like soggy kibble and one would flatly refuse to even try it.  Both dogs will drink immediately after eating which I find reassuring.

Anxiety about dry feeding is yet another of the reasons why I changed to a raw diet.  My exception is the puppy who is currently on soggy kibble and raw combined for the moment but as he teleports his food I wouldn't attempt to feed it dry .

It's obviously not doing your dogs any harm and as long as you are careful not to exercise within an hour or 2 of mealtimes you are probably ok.  Have you tried soaking it?

I don't necessarily soak dry food as such, but I do add quite a bit of water to make sure they get enough liquid with it as one of my dogs doesn't drink at all otherwise.

I feeed dry dry, and any wet food is raw meat, or very rarely butchers trip mix or teh Arden Grange tins.
