Grandaughter has just got two femail guinea pigs. Wanting some name suggestions. She doesn't like pinky and perky which is all I could come up with. I know people on here are good with names.

Sugar and Spice immediately came to mind ;-)

What colours are they, and what type of coat?

Guinea pigs are one of the world's oldest domesticated animals, known in South America for thousands of years. I think they were first domesticated by the Incas, and were regarded as messengers to teh gods. So how about Maya and Inca? Aztec? Names of places or ancient sites in those countries?

Should they be age apprpriate to your grandaughter perhaps, if she is young then something like Hannah and Motana.
I am a bit out of touch with young ones now..................so depends on how young she is.

We inherited Badger and Bruiser. Seeing how he drank from the water feeder he was rapidly rechristened Boozer.

Well I can report that grandaughter has completely disregarded the wonderful suggestions from here and with typical 7 year old imagination has named them Snowy and whitey!!!

Love that :)
We had a rabbit called Snowy named by my young son.........Speedy was the tortoise named by young daughter!
