We may not of got anything with our own dog but thought I'd add a little about my 16 year old daughter's Crufts....
We have only owned a dog for 6 years and went to our first "proper" show in August 2008. We qualified our boy last year so first time going with our own dog so we were pleased how he moved even if unplaced..
However, Meg was invited to handle 2 pointer puppies in the puppy dog class and handled Storm to a VHC in a strong class, giving the breeder 3 dogs in the top 5...
She won the YKC Artist of the Year for the age group 12 to 16 years
She stewarded in the Sammies ring on Friday (only previous experience being the club Limit show a few times)
On Sunday she was back for the YKC Shaun McAlpine Award where she won the 12 -16 years group. This is such a prestigious award given for achievement by the Kennel Club and the overall trophy was given to Alice Moodie, a lovely young lady who has worked hard to get where she is despite the death of her mum when she was little.. a worthy winner (as were all the nominees were)xxxx
