The breeder of my dogs said he only used dopram v once but uses whisky if needed . I've never tried it , only ever used dopram .

My vet ould only give me dopram if i was an experienced breeder. I had also heard a drop of brandy can help.

I use Dopram, as a respiratory nurse it works so well on humans I had to have some in for whelpings.

The pup has to have a heart beat to circulate the dopram placed under the tongue so cardiac massage would be needed if there was no heart beat, you can't kill an already dead pup but you may be able to save one.

The company which makes Dopram V appears to have gone bust. May explain its complete disappearance from suppliers.
