Hi

Our Bitch has just starting behaving a little unusual and wanted feedback?

Shes day 59 and she starting making some funny little winey noises I have checked her Vulva and we have a mucus there.

we had some for a fair while but it was totaly clear this however is tainted yellow to clear translucent. Is this the plug??

The winey noises are unusual?

she has now stopped making them and is settling again, whats strange is we have seen no milk no digging etc. Any advice would be greatfully received!

Panic :)

Hiya, sounds like she may not be long....plug could come out for a few days before hand. My girls did both litters, about 4 days before. Some bitches, especially maidens dont have milk till pups are born and my first litter was a gsd and she showed no signs whatsoever. We went for a good walk on day 60 were out about 30 mins but took our time....came back and a water bag was hanging out, 5 mins later first puppy was born!!!
Thisgirl with 11 day old pups was clearly in 1st stages a day or so before she started to contract. Keep a close eye on her and sleep with her, could be anytime but then she may have you hanging on for days :-)

Good luck and please keep us updated

Thanks for the advise.

A couple of other odd little behavoural things but she has settled now and is just laying around like a beached wale. I gave her some of my dumpling to see if she was eating and she took it off to her whelping room which she has never done before (cuboard under the stairs). She had a scrabble with hind legs as iff belly anoyying her and shes drinking loads.

I think you could be right may be early stages I am sleeping near her tonight and the wife is on the couch (the comfy part).

Ill message if anything else happens.

Hi

No I slept next to her whelping room in the hall way. On hard tiled floor my back is killing me but nothing. The things we do :)

She has settled now though no whimpering and we can still feel the pups kick. She had more ischarge than usual yesterday and it was thicker and a opaque colour not quite white.

I think you write I think ill be on the floor for a few days :)

Get a cheap blow up bed - much more comfortable than the tiles LOL

You'll be sleeping there for a while once the pups arrive ;)

Hope she doesn't keep you hanging on too long

This is why I started to put the whelping box in my bedroom :) It is more comfortable for me and nice and private and secure for my bitch :)

My back doesnt do floors!!..I bought a fairly cheap mattress for about £30 and slept on that in the front room and just shoved it behind the sofa during the day. I slept with my girl for 5wks that way.
