Away from the excitment of Crufts and our every day life gripes about the crap UK weather, etc. Spare a thought for those in Japan and the Pacific Islands after a massive earthquake triggerd a huge tsunami this morning. I have heard from a couple of friends there who are OK, but some others may not be. If you have not seen this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ It is truely horrible and heartbreaking, those poor people and animals in the path, those desperate trying to drive away. Thoughts and prayers go out to all affected.
Ive been watching the news...we have have family in the Phillipines, weve not heard from them yet!!
My nephew lives in Australia, its meant to hit there aswell.
God keep them all safe.

Friends of ours have just flown to NZ - Due to hit there at 5.30
All the poor people, not to mention all the animals that get forgotten becuase the humans are the top priority. You hear so many stories of animals being left when people evacuate. :-(

Hopefully there won't be a big problem there :
Quoting from the BBC website:
"The BBC's Greg Ward in New Zealand says authorities have downgraded the tsunami threat. They say there is now a marine threat only. This means strong and unusual currents are possible in the sea, river mouths and estuaries, but no land threat is expected, our correspondent says."

Friends on the Oregon coast in USA have got Tsunami warning sirens sounding every 5 minutes!
At least it sounds at the moment as if the SE coast of Sri Lanka will miss this one - to see the devastation around Galle from the 2004 one in 2009 was still heartbreaking!
Still waiting for a reply from my uncle. He lives in Thailand but works in Japan and Dubai.

I've just sent a complaint into Sky News, we were watching all the devastation unfolding in Japan, when end of part came up, the first ad was 'learn to surf the waves' and a guy on a surf board advertising holidays in Barbados......surely Sky News can control what is shown, they should be ashamed of themselves!

Oh dear poor people in Japan with yet another earthquake :-(
7.1 on the scale...hope they are all safe this time
Really feel for them, it's disaster after disaster. All we can do is help with the appeals as best as we can.

Gosh thats all they need :(
