Has anyone got any good remedies for cracked and dry noses ? A couple of my boy's noses are not as black and shiny as normal. I think the problem has been caused by the severe weather we have had this winter. I am going to add some Yumega oil to their food but wondered if anyone has found anything to apply topically that doesn't get licked straight off !

Vasaline 2 or 3 times a day sorts it out in days.

I use E 45 every day for a week. That usually does the trick.

The vaseline with aloe vera in it is really good

Sudocreme?

I would consider looking at the diet too... it can make a difference in some dogs.

Vaseline is fantastic for cracked noses! I did try sudocrem, but it can go very watery if their noses run! lol

sudocreme is great, but when I worked in care was always told it's anitseptic properties made it slightly drying.

vaseline, ive used it for years, never fails.

Vaseline for mine too - It does get licked off though.
I prefer to do it after a really long walk when they're just about to have a snooze!!
I tried the vaseline for a while on my springer but it didn't seem to work well. We've been using something called Bow bow butter balm and at first i was sceptical but within a few days his nose was soft!
