Yay for the links! I was going to go on the train for the day on the Friday but someone gave my OH a bouncy cheque and I don't want to go if I can't buy loads of cool things as well as see the dogs, so next year (I get to shop twice as much for missing out this time too)!!!

live streaming pah!! i was watching the live stream gundog group and just before they chose the winner at 7.30 it stopped and i now have to pay! obv i will watch it on more 4 but it seemed a bit unfair to me

I was really disappointed by that too. :-( Our digital TV signal for commercial channels is rubbish tonight so I won't be able to watch it.

Yep swizz! Not amused. Who has won the gundog group, 2nd, 3rd & 4th please?

The live streaming had a fault - but the Flatcoat won the group!

How did the cocker do?

I was talking to one of the IWS breeders and she mentioned that the dam of her bitch was bob so she has done very well.

1st flat coat
2nd irish water spaniel
3rd cocker
4th golden retriever
I think that order lol
Nessa
I notice a bit of with holding went on in a couple of breeds, takes guts, especially at Crufts. I presume it will be explained in the critiques.
Some of the 'witholding' might be input errors, I seem to remember similar problems last year. Also some absences aren't recorded accurately either. My boy stayed at home today (we went without him) but I see he still shows as entered, and present!
You might find some errors get corrected later, although not all of them.

Yep - remember the Greatest Cockup Of All Time last year? When the BSDA posted on Facebook that Marianne had got BOB with her girl, but Fossedata were steadfastly saying it was someone else!!
Yes MsT you're right, I was remembering that exact cock-up! :)

i wish the beeb would do crufts again! more 4 is utter rubbish! i hate the constant adverts (every 10 mins ) the boring friends for life (ok the first time but must we sit through it every night?)
and that woman commentator (cant remember her name) drives me insane
oh dear, still, the live stream today is ok (as long as it doesnt cut off again at 7.30)

The adverts are certainly a pain, and I know what you mean about FFL though I understand they want to mention it every evening so people remember to vote. But Clare Balding's pretty good - perhaps not quite as good as she has been in previous years. It's great to get 2 hours every evening - we used to only get 30 minutes most nights and 1 hour on BIS night, IIRC.

I think this years coverage has been so much better than anything the BBC did in recent years. The FFL would be featured prominently whichever channel, this is one of the things aimed at the GP, and lets face it, if only show people watched then no commercial channel would take it on. Am also so pleased that it seems based firmly at the show, without the annoying bits filmed here, there and everywhere which featured on the last few years of the BBC showing it. Easy way to avoid the ads - sky plus it, start watching about 10 mins atfer recording starts then you can whizz through the ads and end up finishing at the same time as live viewing.

Coverage by More4 is also repeated the next day at eleven in the morning. This is a help for the soap fans.

we sky+ it so we can forward through the trash :) Def better coverage than the BBC though.

The livestream has done my head in, it timesout that much, im sick of hearing the DFS music

lol same here for that Dfs ad i been turning it down when i had to refresh, overall i am well pleased with the live feed i couldn't watch it like that last year i remember trying, but had to pay, iv payed nothing this year and watched all the Agility ,fly ball, heal to music wooow i been in my element even had a dance with my bullys and my Rottie last night ;-)
> iv payed nothing this year and watched all the Agility ,fly ball, heal to music wooow i been in my element even had a dance with my bullys and my Rottie last night
Hee hee at the dancing! I paid nothing last year or this year, I think if you are able to watch live it's free but if you want to watch catch-up or other vids you have to pay. I noticed there were vids available of breed judging that weren't on the live stream, so presumably you pay to see those....
If anyone who has paid can confirm that, and especially if they are filming all breeds, could you let me know? I would definitely pay the £9.99 to be able to see my breed/s judging.

ohhh yes i think i would have payed to , if you get to see all the Bullys and Rotties as their my fav , i have really enjoyed all that i have seen and cant wait to tune in tomorrow,
the afghan tonight i thought was amazing such a fab coat and loved the way it glided when it walked stunning, :-)

Ms Tremaire and anyone else thinking of purchasing the catchup,
You don't get the breed judging. You get the group judging in full and some v short clips of best of breed for some breeds. I don't know if more bob clips will be added in time as at the moment it's only a few, but it's only a v short clip anyway showing the last 2 dogs and short interview with winning owner.
There are quite alot of agility and obedience clips though.
