I am intrigued, as I own a Norwegian breed, and therefore have an interest in their national breeds. Certainly can't recall one of them being a ridgeback???

If it was a typing error, and it is the Rhodesian Ridgeback, then a good place to start is the Rhodesian Ridgeback information pages on Champdogs. It will give you breed info, useful links and the breeders registered with Champdogs. Good Luck.
