We are going up on working day but I just got a panicked phone call from mum tonight she has fallen off her bike today and twisted her ankle so I have to handle Sophie.... iv been away for a nearly 3 months at Uni and have done no training, ooo this is going to be interesting I can just feel in in my waters! :) and im only a few weeks away from finishing my BA Hons,  im sure im going gray with stress :).

We will be there running from ring to ring , luckerly both in hall 5, if and big if my horrible mutt manages to keep a coat this year , she just started to shed.

we will be there but with only 1 dog but were going to be all over the place got breed judging in hall5, my youngest is doing her handeling dog in the breed class and also the ykc handeling so will be running between 5, 1 and hall 3, good job there is a group of us going me other half both girl and my parents .

I'm normally to be found anywhere there's a queue (like the loos)!

All three entered but depends on coats......I expect George and the ginger squishy one to be there, not so sure about Fuby.

I love Discover Dogs, it's such fun and the dog enjoy it. Wish I could bring my pups, be a great socialisation experience for them, but alas they are only 4 ½ months old yet so not allowed. We're doing Malinois on the Sunday.

Spoke to the Kennel club today and there is no lower age limit on doing Discover dogs, as we are taking our pup and wanted to make sure it was ok

I took my boy to Discover Dogs at Crufts when he was 4 nearly 5 months old....he loved it and still does now 2 years later :)

I am sure my Discover Dogs paperwork says no puppies under 6 months !!!

Don't forget me if you are saying hello.... Hall 1, ring 6, Australian Shepherds after Cattle Dogs. I will be the one with a HUGE fluffly blue merle dog....

trying to think of something that would be noticeable that we could wear that wont look riduculous so that we can all recognise a CD member...how about the 'red star' like we have next to our names, easy to make and stick a pin on the back... well any other ideas.... ?

I'm there covering Schip booth on Discover Dogs as well as sneaking a peak and catch up with old friends from other breeds, including Leo ones lol

The paperwork definitely does say 6 months as it has done for a few years now. Don't think one hand knows what the other is doing at the KC sometimes! It's only a year or two ago that one dog was removed from DD for being unsound so they do check things.

Quoted from the leaflet entitled "DFS Crufts 2011 Discover Dogs guidelines":

Under "Manning the booths" Point 3:
Please note that puppies must be 6 months old and over on first day of show.
That is THEIR bold print as well (the last sentence in point 3), so they have emphasised it.

Oh and it also says "In order to make the best of the area provided it is recommended that only 2 dogs are present in the booth at any one time." We used to take 3 but cut it down to 2 when they added this a couple of years or so ago.

I am going on Friday, I deliberately choose a day that my breed was not showing as I want to window shop, visit discover dogs, shop properly and of course try to put faces to names.
So I will try. I will be roaming............so beware I may appear at a bench by you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone we're hoping to visit the Rottie ring at some point as my friend is an ex rottie breed many yrs ago.  Leo's will be getting a visit too, got a couple of friends in Leo's, then hopefully visiting the GSD's my old breed.  Hmm wonder when I'll be manning the booth lmao?  Good job there's 5 of us for the day eh lol.
