I have been through the archives as this subject comes up quite often, but I cant find an answer thats fits my problem exactly. My 8 month old Staffie bitch, has this morning for the first time passed a motion that has blood in it. The motion is not sloppy, she is displaying no other symptoms, Things that may be omportant: last night she was fed raw chicken for first time (usually cooked) No bones, just chicken.

Hi

You fed raw chicken to your dog for the first time, it may be that the dog, not being used to it found it to rich, you do have to introduce a raw diet gradually, or perhaps she strained to much when going to the toilet which can cause a bit of blood, other than that i dont know what to suggest, if you are that worried then i would take her to the vets and get her checked over.

Hi.
Is the blood red or black ? Red blood is usually ok and no cause for concern, black blood is heamorraged blood, a great cause for concern ! Keep an eye on her, but if the blood is black, take her to your vet.
Dawn.
