i saw 2 ads on the usual site. one bitch mated to her half brother and another dog mated to his daughter
is this legal? they arent kc reg but one ad says ukc reg?
also the pics make them look really vicious, do we really have these dogs as pets??

If they're not KC registered (and this is not a KC recognised breed) there's nothing that can be done about inbreeding. Half brother to half sister though isn't necessarily a bad thing but does require knowledge of the actual dogs in the pedigree, their health etc.

The UKC (United Kennel Club) is an American registry.

i actually emailed the 'breeder' asking if they should be inbreeding and saying how vicious the dog looks and they replied saying 'the dogs are vicious to strangers but good to their family and thats how a dog should be'!
so why are they breeding a dog that is 'vicious to strangers'? that should be stopped

I actually saw a Presa x Tosa for sale earlier - didn't actually resemble either, so probably just some 'breeder' looking to exploit some mug with cash on the hip.

The issue that I can see is that because of the current trend for status dogs and crossbreeds etc, it won't be long until we are flooded with breeds such as Presas and Corsos etc and then it won't be long until inferior specimens and problems start to appear!

actually i pop into my local pet shop this evening (dont usually go in there but was looking for something) where i got chatting to the owner who was telling me about their presa who by all accounts trys to kill any strange dog  and how they were going to breed her because they had found 2 kc reg presa stud dogs.

I just looked at the oh (who has only been here for the last 7 months and is still learning about the different breeds and the showing side of things) and we both just rolled our eyes
