I am new to the SBT community. I met a man, that for various reasons, had to get rid of his SBT. The man's name was Martin Howard, and he was either from the Middlesborough or Manchester area. The dog i acquired from him is a 2 1/2-3 yr old dark brown brindle dog he called Paddy. Paddy is a beautiful SBT. He stands 17 in at the shoulder, has a 20 in neck, and a 20 in head around the jaw muscles. Because of the circumstances, I had to get Paddy out of a police kennel. If anyone knows anything about Paddy's breeding/background, I would appreciate it very much. There have been many people that were interested in breeding w/ Paddy, but w/out his papers or known origin of his breeding, they all shy away. Any help to get me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

you have a dog without papers-therefore not a lot will want to breed with him, as youve said his history is unknown-best leave well alone :D

I am hoping that if I can find someone that knew the previous owner, maybe I can get ahld of the papers. Thank you for your concern. Do you own SBT's? Like I said, I am new to the breed, but have fallen completely in love w/ them.

Whre you given any other name for Paddy ( ie Kennel name)? If so could you not contact the Kennel Club giving in his full name and explaining the circumstances ? Is he micro-chipped ? Maybe you could get the former owners details that way ?

Try placing adds in your local papers asking for info you never know but I am afraid paddy might be a lovely pet but he is over height should not be over 16in putting him back to a smaller bitch to try and correct this would quiet possibly mean her having a c section especially as you say paddy is well built there would be a height risk of puppies getting stuck at the shoulders
