how old do they have to be if you get them chipped at home...my local council and vet wont do ours till they are 12 weeks

My pups are always chipped around 6-7 weeks old, medium breed.  They complain a lot less than a 12 week old pup would.

Ask at your local ringcraft.. you may find a couple of local breeders who chip

Darn it was due to go on a course recently otherwise I'd of done it for them. I know a local tattoo lady, would they be interested in that?
Puppies!!! Now I'm going to have to make a phone call :-)))

Kay they are on the local committee for ringcraft and know people in all local clubs too. I'll keep ears peeled for them though! And will just have to have a visit and see some puppies :-)

Try your local dog warden, very often cheaper than the vets.

If you look on th Peddymark website a lot of the Charities do chipping and not only is it usually much cheaper than the vets, you'll be helping the Charity too :)

Looking for a chipper for a litter
Is it just me or did any one else have wood chipper in their head when they read this? I must stop reading thrillers!! :-D

Have you thought of contacting any of your local rescue organisations? Many will chip dogs outside their rescue as a bit of an income earner.

Also local kennels or groomers? You've probably already gone those lines.

Im a trained chipper but miles away from you. contact the 'pet chip company' http://www.pet-detect.com/ and ask for any trained in your area. Not sure if they can give the details out but id be happy for the business if i was closer.

PaH chip for £10.  If you're a Breeder would probably get a discout if registered.
