- By Lea Date 21.02.11 15:01 UTC
Hi not dogs. but dads fish pond needs a new liner.
We want one that is going to last (not the ones with 25 year quaruntee but longer)
Its 9x6m needed.
Has anyone had any dealings with places on line.
We keep coming up with
http://www.pondkeeper.co.uk/flexiliner.asp
But dont know what they are like.
Or doies anyone know of anywhere???
We tried Downtown and it came out at nearly £500 :o :o Compared to £140 on that sitre.
Thanks in advance
Lea :) :)

Not used either but you could have a look at 'Bradshaws'. we got our last one (low/med price) from them.

wow, what a price!!! Their flexiliner looks like what I use as the groundsheet for my tent :) :) that would explain a lot. It doesn't look as though it readily beds in to the contours of the pond, though--as if you need to add water first, which is fine as long as there is no leak or air pocket.

Have a look at LBS Garden Warehouse:

I have used their butyl liner for years to build ponds and wetland/bog gardens. I put layers of sand and old carpet underneath to stop any root growth puncturing the liner, which is cost effective (you could use layers of Terram if you wanted to spend money, it's cheap) and the butyl liner works well as long as it is protected from light. They offer very good prices compared to garden centres, but that's because they supply so many of them.

I got my pond liner from here:

I have the firestone liner, supposed to be one of the best (at least it was when I was working in aquatics 5 years ago :-P).  4 years in the ground so far and still going strong.

I'm not hugely knowledgeable about ponds, but we've recently used Seapets (www.seapets.co.uk) for a pond liner and we were very impressed with the quality of it, and the price too!!

Thankyou :) :)
Its good to have sites that people have dealt with before :) :)
I left him with home work last night to look at those sites and let me know what he thought :) :)
I knew you lot would be able to help :) :)
Kindest Regards
Lea :) :) :)
