how old is your shih tzu coats change as they go from puppy to adult or are you grooming correctly or maybe you are taking too much undercoat out - do you use a comb mainly for grooming? It could be in the breeding there are so many factors involved, coat colour, breeding lines, grooming, age, male or female etc
Hi guys this is a different shih tzu to the one that wax attacked. She's now 5 snd I've always groomed her myself as I'm a dog groomer. She used to be clipped by her previous owner but her coats to thin she looked bald even on a guard comb. Since getting her we have tried growing her coat and it's now a good 2 inches all over but still looks really thin all over and looks see through in places? I was just wondering if she could be missing something from her diet which could help with her coat. She's currently on James well beloved
Try evening primrose oil ie capsules, my 3 shih tzu's are all on this, my oldest girl who is actually a cross, has thin hair but since using the EPO its slowly coming back:)
