About 5 weeks ago I tore my calf muscle (went to A&E and thats what they said it was) and it healed pretty quick. I couldnt walk on it at first and was on extremely strong painkillers but after a week I could walk okish. Another couple of weeks and I was able to sort of run. 5 weeks on I can run, dance, horse ride etc.

Until today....

Dancing! Did a move where we do lots of little runs while travelling (all on toes) and twang - off it goes again! Anyone know how I can heal it for good or am I always going to have a weakness there?

I still get the odd problem, almost 5 years after I tore a muscle.  When the pain hits, I am almost crippled up with it.  As it isn't constant, I've learned to live with it.

I'm guessing here, but I don't think it will involve dancing for a while :).

have you got a sports phisio where you are. expensive but worth every penny :) I was near enough booked in for an op on my knee after not running races for a year. saw a sports phisio and was back running within a week and ran a half marathon 6 months later.

Hmm interesting. I will ask around!

Not dancing is out of the question so I need to find an alternative. :-)
